Sounds like a great idea if it would work, not sure if the shrinkage thing would affect it? If it did work then we could have single stands maybe similar to the normal figure stands?

Sundance - your spot on - that's what I was meaning. And squad leader - bloody good idea with the thicker bit for the peg to slot into! I'll pm you about it tomorrow in a bit more detail, but it'll be at least a month before I got more casting media to try with.

Even more lost...! Yes, that was my suggestion, not sure what your idea is? Do you mean indents like a pair of footprints?

YES! that's EXACTLY what i meant.

They'd have to be pretty deep to grip the figure, but that may well work. Not sure how you'd cast one either?

Can't you just use Blu-tack?
