Event Horizon is a hell of a great sci-fi film I recommend it to anyone. I never watched Serenity as I never saw Firefly.

I've never seen Firefly either, but Serenity's a fine movie..I don't know if I'd of enjoyed it more if I had seen the series before hand though?

It's why I didn't want to watch it to me it's like watching Farscape Peacekeeper Wars without seeing seasons 1-4 of Farscape absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Farscape's another series I started to watch & got fed up with about 1/2 way into,a problem that seems to be happening to me more & more with modern Sci-Fi shows nowadays...maybe I've got to a point in life when I just can't be arsed with long winded stories anymore, I often think to myself "Sod it, another 10 episodes to go!?! life's too short!"
Probably why I've enjoyed this present run of Torchwood, 5 episodes over 5 nights feels about the right length of time, one of the guy's @ work has managed to watch 3 series of Spooks in the last week..I just don't know where he finds the time?

I was going to borrow it sometime ago from an IT worker at my place before he could lend it me the team was outsourced to Chenai and our actual IT team was downsized with most leaving to find work elsewhere and he was one of them.
