PS - you may notice a dead Kraken in the background on some of the pics. I'd like to reassure everyone, it is not dead, it's just resting, but it does raise the question - are there any other heads or parts people would be possibly interested in? Said Kraken is currently being used as a custom for something else (TKW - I'm hoping you will approve!!!) and I could try to cast his head if I got enough interest?

How about :laser: head? I could possibly even try crotches, but dont know how they would work out, as they are a lot more fiddly.

Removeable :shadow: helmets?

Generic :barracuda: :dolphin: style heads would cast pretty well I would expect?

Not sure that I could do them for the same price as :shadow: heads, as they would require more fabrication, so may come in at roughly £3 each (less for the :barracuda: :dolphin: style though - likely £1.50 each again).

Any thoughts (although these will be a longer term (next month or so) project, as I want to get the :shadow: :shadow: :shadow: 's finished and get back on with some of my half way done customs before I start making more moulds).

Cheers
Steve

would series 3 be original ball joint arah style? im worried they wouldnt be big enough?
also, how much difference between non-doofus & broken arrow? are broken arrow like the doofus ones?
Sorry Ross - I typed a long answer to this yesterday, and then my PC crashed, so it never got posted!

It was basically to say that I plan on trying to do balljoint RAH style and series 3 style. I'd not realised when i put the poll up that they were different to each other, as I'd never dismantled a RAH era fig.

They seem to look okay sized on a RAH era fig (this one is a Dufus style head - my RAH will have thicker necks, in one piece, without a seam [hopefully!!]):-

We seem to have caught a shot of Boss Hogg seemingly trying to bribe the CHIPS in the background there too! They'll not have any of it, I'm sure!

looking good Steve, are they going to be similar to the alyosha heads and cast in resin? Or something more rubbery...Will be keeping a close eye on the Kraken too :-)

Think the only other thing id be interested in seeing cast would be ATC / Canoe aerials as the guy I was trying to get to do them for me hasnt got back to me...

Good idea Krakers. I could use a Silent Attack aerial. This looks awesome Steve. Nice job and well coloured, not too pink at all.

Awwwwww - Chopper!!! Now I'm going to have to own up to everyone that the second head I made I put too little dye in and it came out pink!!! That was meant to be our little secret! (whoops!). I plan on using it for Lady Shadow at some stage in the future!

They are very similar texture to the Alyoshas heads - I was recommended it as the bset material to cast from with the moulds I am using (moulds are using rubber, so anything too rubbery sticks to them and wears the moulds out apparently). I may experiment with something a bit more rubbery once I exhaust my current stock of chemicals though, as ideally I'd like to try to match the "texture" of the originals eventually too.

I hope you'll like him! He's looking fantastic! Should be done by the weekend.

I may give aerials a go, but they will be very fiddly with them being so small. Could maybe do a load of them in one mould on a sprue though. I'll give it some thought.

I dunno, there's no end of regularaly broken parts...

Wolverine towrope
ATC missile rack
Swordfish torpedo clip
Shaft legs
RFM stand

As well as the always missing...

Battletank minigun
Shadowtrak missile
Laser Exterminator leg + console
generic black aeriels
Triad pod boosters

I expect most of us would like more black bazookas too!
