season 2 definatly picks up but there are some great episodes in season 1

Unfortunately most of them have an essential piece of storyline or character development. I promise you by episode 4.03 you will be hooked.

Sisko calm??? I take it you mean Ben Sisko from DS9 in later series he was always flying off the handle to get what he wants don't get me wrong though I love DS9 it's the only Star Trek series I really tried to watch faithfully and the movies
