A couple of years after that offer for the preview mailaway Mace Windu figure ended, a shed load turned up in a local "bargain bucket open for a month before Christmas & closed in January" shop for about £2 a pop..
So my pride and joy mace windu is only worth £2 then?

Steve,

The best modern Star Wars to pick up and add to the retirement fund post 95 would be a set of these guys;

Image

Effectivley they are the last of the unique European designed packaging and were produced in very short supply through Europe. Luke, Han and Ackbar are the easiest to pick up. After this point the Euro cards were just text and then shortly after to easy peel stickers as the company reshuffle and globalisation proudced one packaging design that could more or less be sold anywhere.

They differ from the US versions by the card layout and the graphics. Also certain figures like the Ewoks and Rebel Solider were only available with a small projector style slide, that was a free premium packed with the figure in the US.

A set would currently set you back around £500-600 but if you scour ebay and prepared to hunt, you could pick them up individually un-noticed for a lot less.

Dave.
