the item was mislisted.
seller obviously knew the tow rope was highly sought after and the pic deliberatly dosent show the damaged end.
just refuse to pay, whats the worst can happen?

If you do end up winning I would just not pay. Not a great thing to do but I do think the pic is deliberately misleading. Unless there was a mirror behind the other bit and he was photographing it naked I dont think theres any excuse...

he lists everything else wrong with item but dosent mention towrope is broken and the pic ends exactly where the broken hook is. maybe i'm just too suspicious.

I just checked the bid history and someone else outbid me before TKW did, so I should be safe either way ........... as long as I dont bid again !

I wasnt really highbidder, I got outbid on my first go at eleven quid or something. I was only going to what I thought the figure was worth plus what a repro tow rope would cost...
