It is the original Starbird, not the Avenger

Roughly how big is that Jaye?

Cool looking toy! And what does the battery make it do? Flash and do sounds?

The box is rougly A3 in size.

I don't think all the bits & bobs in the box pictured all belong to the toy. The resemblance with StarWars is really cool: logos, design of vehicle, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if this vehicle was designed by somebody also working for Lucas.

When flying the toy, the sounds will follow your movements: the engine will go up in pitch when pointing the nose up for take off, the pitch stays steady when flying levelled and it will go down when landing. The fire button will make the lasers flash and creates a vintage laser sound.

When I was running through the house this weekend doing a virtual dogfight my girlfriend was looking at me with a face like: "My oh my, I am living with a 37 year old little boy!"

When picking up the toy the seller told me he had another one lying around. Already checked on a few sites. This toy ranges from 30 to 80 euros, depending on state. I was able to pick up two for 60, both in very good condition! :D

The one that I have 'spare' is missing the top gun only, see picture, but other than that in very good condition regarding the fact it is over 30 years old!

Mr. D. in case you are interested, drop me a PM. Will forward to you at cost + p&p.

Cheers for the offer Jaye, and as much as I'd love to, I fear I'd get strung up by the missus! Even my smuggling skills would struggle to hide a box that big! So, coward that I am, I shall decline. :-(
