Hi Steve,
Didn't have much time to respond earlier, so Meg Ryan had to do so on my behalf...
Totally LOVE the pics fella!!! SO jealous!
The room looks retro-tastic!
I don't have any boxes on display in my room. I've always managed to stop myself being tempted into that side. But man, those boxes with all the lovely red and yellow eighties-ness look so brilliant!
The next step would be some acrylic cases custom made for the boxes to fit in. Kraken is going to produce some soon. Oscar does them made to order, but are so expensive at the mo....
You need those large sized mocs displayed properly with pride rather than hidden at the floor too!
The display cabinets look great mirrored. It reminds me SO much of my room when I first had it 3 years ago. Since then every few months has seen me buying more shelves and cramming more and more in. The 'less is more' is an admirable start, we'll see long it lasts, though!
Wonderful, wonderful stuff. The future Mrs SteveD doesn't know how lucky she is with such a room in the house!

Thanks mate! I definitely agree about the larger MOC's - the bottom shelf is set to size ready to take them, it's just a matter of Steve getting them sorted and me getting a few £ together, then Mr Whiplash shall be moved to another shelf, and the big items fully displayed.
Not sure about getting boxes for the boxed stuff. I may one day, but a few of them are just that - boxes, and they're not taking any hurt up there, so it is pretty low on the priorities list - got to get some mroe cases for the standard sized stuff first, and get the bulk of the Dukes acryliced up.
I am definitely resisting the urge to cram lots on well this far. I have a large bag of 'swaps' it seems, (including most of the Cobra top brass from series 3) as for the stand alone characters (i.e not army builders) it seems a bit pointless to have two or three of them on display unless there were variants. A few more Cobra's for the army on their way soon, and those more modern ones you traded me Paul make excellent FANG pilots due to their red balaclavas.
Although I am maybe planning a line up that is "The Evolution of Cobra Commander" going from Baron to Straight Arm Cobra Commander (once I find one) to normal CC to Hooded CC to Battle Armour CC. We will see whether my will power is sufficient to stop it there!
It seems Stormie has a good few stunts doubles for his future exploits too!
Anyway thanks for all the kind words guys - I'll update once I get finished.

She's given up on the room totally now it seems, and just closes the door to it when she walks past. I have been told that "if we have kids it will all have to go in the loft" which i guess is fair enough.
"Action Force - the most effective form of contraception there is".
She did find the idea hilarious that Jaye et al were coming round and agreed she would gladly give everything away! All she asked is that you ring ahead so she could put the kettle on! So if ever a new board member suddenly appears offering an AF free for all in the Sheffield Area I trust you will all politely refuse?

Now theres an idea Paul - I suspect that swaps bag may be reduced by one or two figures to make copies of those bad boys. I love them - was it hard to dremel out the CC head? I have 14 Shadow heads coming from Alyosha's for another customs project, so need some practice.

It's okay Dave - I'll pop a light up there for them and a nice Calor Gas fire to keep them warm in the winter months. Only one gas bottle though - can't molly coddle them too much.

well count yourself lucky as it makes it harder for space if your other half collects toys too. Chloe collects Vinyl Toys (mostly a guy called Touma), She-ra and *sigh* My Little Pony.
Where we have begun to plan out and decorate the spare room as a collection room, I'm sure there will be inevitable clashes over who gets what shelves
I've planned to have my Star Wars stuff on rotation, so it won't stagnate, but just how much space will be needed/ shelving etc is still yet to be determined.
