I agree, but this is SAS Force and not SAS, and so it's a given that they have to give them vehicles (for the toyline) and so if they are it makes sense for a ranged weapon to support frontline action. the only vehicles SAS should realistically have are Land Rovers, dhingies and maybe motor cycles.
anything else should be either Z-Force, Q-Force or Space Force. or from a regular unit...
