You got the cases ordered! Make sure you put some pics on here when they come and let me know what they are like for fit etc? I've put mine on hold for a while - getting myself in a heck of a mess as to what I've got and am to be getting rid of, so going to have to have a good sort before I order the next batch of cases.

The collection is looking sooooo impressive.

That Endor bunker is way cool. Never knew there was one. I'd love to build a landing platform ala Endor bunker and drop a shuttle or 2 on it. It would be massive tho. Cool collection tho mate. I love the carded Droids stuff, any Ewoks cartoon figures/vehicles in your collection?

I have a shelf at home dedicated to Star Wars DVD's, spin off's, re-edits, re-releases, documentaries etc. Even that's pretty big ;)

Chopper, do you have Jambe Davdar's fan-documentaries? - Building Empire, etc.

They are outstanding.

Wow Paul,

those are fantastic, some of that work looks very familiar, which ones have you done yourself?

All the best,
Dave.

I have building Empire but not watched it yet, been too busy colouring ;) I have a few BabyHum releases, the Wookie Gromar edit, the 1977 LD rips (not letterboxed) all the Ewoks, droids, official doco's, original pre SE VHS, etc, etc... its insane really.

Best fan edit of Star Wars I ever saw was this one;

If that doesn't blow you're mind nothing will.

Chopper, you must watch 'Building Empire' - it is incredible. Also, 'Returning to Jedi'.

Re: that fan edit - I really want that!

I've read about it on the web and gone through all the comparison photos where they show all the changes/improvements.

How can I get it? I'm not much good at downloading stuff. Is there a site I could download [very easily!] from?

Or could I buy a copy from you?

I REALLY want to see this!

Also, do you know if the guy has plans to do parts 5 and 6?

No Dave, I'm no good at stuff like this. I wish I was....

All my customs are by other people. I just buy them from them.

A good one often overlooked, but is a great look at the hype and expectation at the time, is Star Woids, which a documentry charting the anticpation and the queing for The Phantom Menance. Whilst not 'old skool' it brings back all the memories of 'what will all the new films hold?' before everyone was crushed and fan backlash. There is a great shot of a guy running out of a theatre after seeing the trailer for the first time and just screaming. There is also these other fans who try and break in to The Ranch and get spotted by security. Very funny and warming to the heart in a funny sort of way.

Thanks Dave, that looks VERY interesting, now officially on my to-do list ;) There was some similar footage on a Star Wars doco DVD I have, can't remember which one atm. Showing people queuing at the Chinese theatre in LA for TPM. It was a great watch. I think it was "Deleted Magic" actually.
