i have been inspired by the Andy1672 fan club especially andys custom of Boffin, and Pauls wave 3.5 and have started playing about with my older figs but i'm having real problems cracking the torsos. i have never had this problem before but now for some reason the front of the figs are cracking. wrecked 3 torsos last night trying to do an Enemy version of boffin. is there a sure fire way of splitting the torso without damaging it. like i said i've never had this problem before and dont think i'm doing anything different. any tips?????

also Andy, what did you use for the back of Boffin??? as most figs have the water cannister and knife
cheers
Bill

I used the sky raider torso, so he still has the canister and knife on his butt !

Simple steps for torso splitting...

Split the crotch with stanley knife
Put figure into cup of hot water for a minute or so
"pop" out legs carefully
with a small screwdriver or blade gently ease the seems either side of the waist
if the torso dosnt split then pop figure back in hot water
"pop" arms out of sockets
gently try to ease torso apart through arm holes
last resort........
put figure into hot water again
"pop" out figures head
either gently try to rotate 2 halves of torso againt each other
or you can dremmel through the peg holding the body together ( access through neck hole)

cool, was doing everything except using the hot water.
there seems to be a tab on the left side of the fig and when i try to force its causing a split on the right side.
thanks for the advice. i'll give it a shot this afternoon

dont mean to hijack the thread but finally got the torso sorted (cheers andy) but realised i dont have the "right" legs.
pain in the arse although i suppose it dosent matter what legs i use.
also found a back with no equipment which works perfectly. think it may be sas diver but unsure as it was loose in my spares box.
