Now that's funny (and deserved). Did you see the George Takai videos? Damned funny.

I really enjoyed the first couple of years of DS9... until it became apparent that the show was suffering from a near total reliance on Babylon 5 storylines, then I went off it big-time.

Kirk will always be the coolest Star Trek Captain, and like most oldschool Trekkers, I can sum up why in three words;

Flying

Leg

Drop!

(In my opinion!)

It was an Emmy!

Why am I blurting "It was an Emmy"?

Well... before this thread was trashed by the cyber-crash, I'd mentioned that a woefully inaccurate (but pleasantly annotated) Star Trek article in Empire Magazine had described the 1970s Star Trek cartoon as "disappointing".

I was quick to point out that in fact it was an award-winning show. I've just remembered that the award in question was an Emmy! And it was excellent.

Just for the information of any fellow Trekkers out there :wink: .

The cartoon is basically season 4 and 5 of the original series, so dismissing it as as a 'disappointment' is just plain daft. In many ways it's better and more creative than the live version. That Emmy was well deserved.
