Blood for the Baron!

I've resisted ever buying that Mego General as it's so poor. And considering the car itself is such a legendary thing of beauty. I just haven't been able to bring myself to do it!

So you never coveted one as a kid?

Did anyone have the one with a pull cord, seem to remember bashing it into the skirting board lots, i think bits flew off it when the bumper was hit?

Sounds like smash up derby's. A mate had that and it came with all sorts of cars and interchangeable parts.

I had a 3 3/34" General Luke with articulated Luke and Bo. The roof had a flipping hatch, but the underside of the car was completely missing, the wheels were attached to the wheel arches IIRC. Anyone got that?

I had a large tin plate type one - about 1/18 scale. That jumped everything!!! The drains, the stream, the dog - anything that got in it's way!!!

3pages in & I'm more than a little surprised that nobodies mentioned, or made the obvious joke about, the Wrist Racers yet.
