Thats why I really like the GI Joe stuff, so much is copied/inspired by/ripped off real world prototypes or models.

The website that shalln't be named but rhymes with go bo has an entire thread dedicated to them.

Not a wholly dissimilar sentiment to that of the Ukrainians when Meertoh's VAMP turned up in Crimea. Blütiger Russians now have a 1:1 version, a licence built IVECO chassis manufactured in some vulgar Magnitogorod or other in the Urals, Russian military call it the 'Tigr' ( :stake: EDIT: 'Tiger'...). FKRS!

Even an electronic warfare / electronic intel version

But it can't survive mano-i-mano with a trolleybus. So maybe isn't exactly the :zforce: Meertoh version.

Nice.

Some parts of the list are just ultimate Polly Filler tho'.
FLAK - perhaps influenced most by the German 88mm Anti-Aircraft FlaK. Although the main construction seems very modernized, the overall look is the same. There is a chair placed on this one, as well as the obligatory GI Joe computer system upgrade.

Personally thought it was a Stinger at first but then figured it out due to a surfeit of contemporary weapon-system mags c. 84 given to me by a Twin Peaks type (long story).

Here's another candidate for the :shadow: weapon:

A lot of the early Joe accessories are stylised forms real life weapons, the designers probably looked @ both weapons for inspiration.

Another example would be 's weapon, which seems to combine elements from both American M60 & German MG 3 machine guns.
