Talking ambient reminds me of Aphex Twin. This video still freaks the hell out of me:

I nearly posted about Aphex Twin, but then I thought they were too obscure and that everyone would be "WTF"! Some of hsi work is genius, some just so far out there even I struggle to understand it!!
