I know exactly what you Mean jon - I really hope the red shadows at least, well, look like red shadows! Rather than repainted joes with a skull and crossbones on. Major looks brilliant, here's hoping the shads are as good as the major, and not just, say, red crimson guards. The head and the uniform were what made them red shadows for me, not the skull and crossbons.

So fingers crossed for the shad reveal!

I think , jugding from the Black Major, they are going to give us a new Head sculpt that will look exactly like the original shads

I'm definately buying no matter what but I do agree that it would be a mistake to change the helmet of the RED SHADOWS. BIG Mistake

OK, I've had a sh*t week but things are improving. Only one thing needs to be said, holy sh*t, the shads are back. I'm stunned.

Thanks to Jamar and Jim we have a new set of red dudes on the way. As they say at home, Cher bro.

Are these torches repaints of existing joes then, or are they new sculpts? They look to me like they are to appeal to joe collectors, and I suspect these might be to make a second tier to the armies within the set. There was a lot of criticism last year about the set being three unique figs and 12 army builders (in retrospect I really like last years viper!). I think this may be to avoid that same criticism with this years set, as whilst we uk guys would be happy with 12 new shads US collectors wouldn't. And remember, we af fans are only likely to be responsible for maybe 20 sets purchased. That leaves them trying to sell a further 780! So got to appeal to the joe guys too.

That's Dragonsky and a later version of Torch's fuel tank and flame thrower on the back and that helmet looks like a crimson Guard Immortal's.

I don't think many Cobraisland members will be bothering or at least those few that post regularly. One thing mentioned on that forum was using O Rings was stepping back into the past and not moving on.

Black major is a repaint of M.Bison with different legs, Ive probably got those parts in my spares box already.
Not keen on the Torch figure he is just a repaint of the Eco warrior Flint figure.

My excuse - I've been dealing with lots of Black Crimson Guards lately, in trades and the like, so I've been differentiating between Black ones and Red ones. And it just crept into my post there.

Much better than those Maroon Crimson Guards though!
