I hope you enjoy the new Trek film, you'll have to let us know what you think and give us your reasoned insight.
I know i'm in the minority, but I preferred DS9's first two series. By the way, if you enjoy DS9, you might like to try Babylon 5. Joe Straczynski wrote it in 1987, and then spent the next few years pitching it to various studios. One that turned him down was Paramount. Subsequently, during his negotiaitions with Warner Brothers, Paramount launched a promo for DS9 which matched his B5 pitch extremely closely! Hmmm? But Warner Brothers went for it, and the pilot movie was filmed in 1992. The series is truly epic.
