WTF?!

an item i've been watching on ebay's been removed. it was a set of Ironblood, Black Major,, 2 Shads, 2 Skeletrons and a Kraken. it still shows up when you do a search (with a current bid of 13 quid and 11 hours left) but you can't click to view the item or bid on it, the page says its been 'removed or is no longer available'.

and now, double WTF?! it's back and so I've bid on it...

I had something similar to this once Sundance, with a guy selling a MOC Firefly from France. It kept disappearing, then re-appearing. Turns out Ebay has some sort of filter or something, and it kept trying to remove it as it included the word "Assassin" or "gun" or something. Perhaps something similar here?

Have to admit to being mildly disappointed that you have refound it however - it never disappeared off my system and I was the highest bidder up until you refound! Good luck with it, I've backed away from it now.

Also - do you think that's a variant diver in the series 1 set? Two have no paint on straps, one has paint. Both my Deep Sea Divers are totally plain - no paint. Anyone else have one with painted straps, or do you think that is a "childhood custom" (I've got a Night Patrol like that - orange camo painted on.

what were you after in the set? i want and and a net. so if you're particularly after the s or the or figure, i'd being willing to discuss something...

y'know, i never even noticed that and i looked at that photo about three times...

are you bidding on that set?

I was, but it's gone too high already. Nice set though - some good series 1 accessories in there - looks like a brown machete, German Stormtrooper accessories etc. Already too high for my wallet at moment though.

I wasn't after anything in particular - I just tend to stick a bid on something if it interests me, and if I get it, good, if not, so be it. Most sets with a Shadow in, a Kraken, Skeletron etc I have a modest bid on. Sometimes, with bizarre end times or if theres somet good on TV at the auction end, you pick up something nice for a good price.

That's what happened with that large lot of Shadows the other week.

i lost that Shadows set. f*cking 3 quid. my max bid was £20 and some sod bid £23 in the last 26 minutes.

Sundance when i bid i only come in in the last 20/30 seconds with my maximum.
bidding early only pushes the item price up and you can get caught up in a bidding war.
it was worse when you could see who you were bidding against.
i only bid early if its an item i really want and have no access to a pc.

well i only bid this morning, twice. and it was only until the last half hour someone else came in. i'm watching a Super Trooper figure, but I'm leaving bidding on that until the last half hour.
