I have a nice and complete AF MCC w/Steam-Roller or Mamba w/Gyro-Viper if you want to initiate a trade ;)

And the players ordered!!!! Thanks to anyone I've had deals with! I've still got some stuff to sell on, but rest assured that any moneyraised from future sales will be suitably squandered on beer and Lego!! ;-)

Good job, you'll be watching high def tie fighters in no time. Don't forget to buy some movies to watch before the beer and lego.

Erm, maybe. I've got 28 inches at the minute, but 42 is about as big as I'll go I reckon. Anything bigger is taking over my front room!!

I may go 3d too. Not overly arsed, but player I've bought is 3d too, so option is there!

I was talking with a sound guy at the SKY News studios the other day and he mentioned that they may be doing SKY Sports broadcasts in Ultra HD (four times HD quality) with 9.1 surround sound in the future. Didn't say when though! 'The future' is quite a long timescale!!

4k will be years away yet. There is noting that can easily store the data for the format, and the obvious "we all need new tv's" problem.

Indeed. The trick is going to be whether to hold out for 8K which won't be far behind. NHK in Japan have moved their whole development plan forward by two years. Someone somewhere really wants to sell us new TVs...!
It's quite staggering how many of the broadcast kit sellers (Sony, Panasonic, Canon etc) have dropped 3D like a bag of shite in favour of 4K since last autumn.

Anyway, the more important question is - What films are you buying next Steve?
