Hi
Time to clear up the confusion about the age thing!
My name is Andy and fast approaching 31.
Always up for a laugh, there are some real comedians on this board and all the better for it
I collected Action Force as a kid, ignoring the Star Wars toys for the more realistic army theme.
That collection has long gone but for a few pieces I discovered in my parents attic, which formed the base for the new collection.
You may have seen me about on Ebay as Scoobydie , where I have a shop,
Courtneys Capers stocking Action Force parts and other bits. I use this to fund the collection , which as usual is driving the wife up the wall due to taking up too much space!
I`m currently moving into the customising side of things, I`m no professional at this and will get better in time (I hope).
Keep an eye out for the A-Team making an appearance soon, not sure which force yet, but their coming!
Speak to you all soon
Andy

Hi Andy, you've been here a while now but hey, welcome to the boards!
One thing I've been meaning to ask for ages - is there a sordid story behind your username and fellow Action Force ebayer Wonderful World of Scoob?

No not really, there are a few scooby`s on Ebay if you search the community.
Scoobydoo I thought was a bit tame, so I threw die at the end of it, and its easy to remember.
Besides it was one of the shortest names that ebay would allow, most of the regular names are taken!
I was dingdongthewitchisdeadandtheychoppedoffherhead for about a day. That was too long to remember and type in.

Hey, there's a good point; I could become Itsactionforceagainstcobratheenemyfightingtosavetheday on ebay.
(Do you know how difficult it was to type that without hitting the spacebar!!!!!)

Im from Belfast but currently living in Newcastle, England. I used to get Battle Action Force every week, I started buying it with the 1st issue with SAS Force on the cover, I saw it in my local newsagent and I thought "WOW I gotta have that" (it was just after the Iranian Embassy siege when we had all seen the SAS on TV). I collected them all up till Storm Force started appearing, but my mother threw them all in the bin when I moved away to go to University, God I could still kill her about that ;(
Never really got into GI Joe, I prefered the British versions, higher body count and I enjoyed the teams more (SAS Force and Z Force) than the individual characters of GI Joe, seemed more like an army to me. Also the Shadows where a much better enemy than Cobra, had an evil Nazi'ish feel about them.
Though I may try reading the Devils Due stuff after reading about them on the forums here.

its great to get new members that are old fans, fans that grew up with this stuff and was at the begining.
Im a new comer really to this so its great to have you guys that grew up with this stuff, the ones that actually bought and read these issues weekly when they were released all those years ago to keep us on the right path LOL
YOU HAVE To buy the RED SHADOWS trade Paperback from Devils Due. if there is ONE trade paperback that every member here on these boards should have , its that one LOL.
you got to check out our new ACTION FORCE comic that is being done by the fans on this board! there is a preview/work in progress thread labled ACTION FORCE RED DAWN coming in 2008.
But here is a link to the covers!

IF the Baron gets his side of things done, we should have the first issue released in 5 weeks!
im very interested in hearing what the people who grew up with this stuff thinks about it.
in any case have fun here, its a great site, The Baron has done a wonderful and incredible job of keeping this fandom and this site running, Hes the one responsible for all of us being here and haveing a place, this is his baby!
