What I always do is get two little electrical screw drivers, like the ones you get in christmas crackers, and after using a scalpel to open the groin inbetween the legs slowly wiggle the screwdrivers up and gently force the connections inside the figure apart. The last hard part is the shoulders, just be gentle and they should come apart no worries.

The next Shadow should be up later today.

Red Shadow Frogman.

Image

Red Shadow Frogman
Codename: Red Shadow
Name: Various
Born: Various
Primary Military Specialty: Underwater Combat
Secondary Military Specialty: Canoeist
Biography: Dregs of humanity from all corners of the world attracted to Ironblood by empty promises of riches and power. Brainwashed into suicidal fighters by the Black Major and ready to die for "The Cause". Specially selected from the Red Shadows for their loyalty, devotion and fearlessness, these elite Shadows are truly a force to be reckoned with.

"Devoid of fear, the Red Shadow's limitations are not yet known".

Just thought I would put up another Shadow, based on the Frogman/Canoeist in Bloodhound.

Just basic SAS Frogman, painted red, then a Shadow head put on top (I know it's not quite the same as the comic, but I guess it's close enough, for now).

AK47, ammo box and a torch seem good accessories, as well as sub-aqua gear from the SAS Frogman with the mask snipped off. Shadow shoulder chevron markings on right arm, and a narwhale/swordfish on left arm gives a unit indication, and the Shadow patch is just printed on printer paper and stuck on whilst the paint was wet.

The canoe will hopefully be ready soon, but then again maybe not.

Enjoy.

The frogman is PERFECT for the Op Bloodhound stories!! Great stuff!
Armaments look good too, harpoon would be handy (did they have them in that story? maybe it was AK only), maybe one from those Cobra Eel fools (gulp, heresy...) etc?

Red Vulture and Red Hornet - GREAT mods too!

Red Hornet perfect for the BAF Moondancer story (???Codename Moondancer, winter '84) where he busts Red Wolf and assorted other Shadow Galactic Minions mucking about in the Copernicus crater on the moon and puts an end to their muppetry, fits perfectly into that storyline!! Just need a :space: base now...

Most importantly you've found a use for all the unloved mutons on ebay and in remainder shops 1985-1990... always thought they might be more use in space than here on earth.

:muton: "My existence - meaning it has now"
:skeletron: "Lucky b'stard!!!"

Thanks to all for the great tips on muppeting about with the figures too.

Nice work on Black Wolf,

Red Vulture II is just so simple and cool, why couldn't they have done it back them, instead he had his gloves painted black, sometimes!!

Try using a picture hosting site like:

http://www.photobucket.com/

It's free and easy.

just upload the images to their site and thats it!!

Then copy the link to the forum page and put the img bits either side of it.

Outstanding work & have to say the Red Shadow Diver is my fav amongst these :D

Though all of them are excellent customs :D

So you building squards/armies of each of these figures too? After all having a dozen or so Red Shadow Divers would be awesome :D moreso if you follow what Jimbo did & redo a WHALE in Red Shadow colours :D

Plus I recall the story where the 2 French troops (Legioners probably) were on the beach & commenting on the RED Sunset & RED sea due to reflection (we all know it wasn`t the sun).
Seeing that diver automatically made me think of that :D

Thank`s for sharing these :D
