So it's possible there's more than one Jackal..(or rather Hyena Driver and he's red here..maybe Baron had a army of Cyborgs prior to Anton's arrival ..perhaps wounded Red Shadows and the Hyena also must of been in service for a while too although you don't see them in early stories as they were released later (perhaps they used them only for operations behind the Iron Curtain to start off with that's why we don't see them in earlier stories) I'll get to work on Hawks Challenge closer to the time the book comes out , the original colourist did a lovely job on that .

Maybe the Hyena needs a cyborg interface? Maybe its just a slight cockup? Friday afternoon. Begs the question, what was the first showing of the Hyena?

I do like the idea of a generic Red Jackal but maybe Battle didn't realise he wasn't a troop type until much later.
