Re: OVERCHARGING ON POSTAGE ON EBAY

I'd persevere before taking any action, some people do see reason, even if they don't want to. Try something like 'did you drive to the post office solely to post my parcel, or did you combine the trip with other activites such as sightseeing or shopping? If you did anything other than post my parcel, I should not be held accountable for your costs' I'd also mention that it would have been courteous to divulge all of this beforehand and that, had you known, you would have happily waited for him to return home before posting (if that is the case). You may not get anywhere, but there's no harm in trying.

one of things i think should be removed is the sellers standard rate it gives you no indication as to wether the item is being posted 1st or 2nd class at least you have an idea of if it's fair or not, i always ask the seller first but i have been caught out by this and paid more for less.

Many a time I've been sent items in recycled packaging, also, it makes me wonder how come someone in the U.K. can charge more for domestic postage than one of those Chinese outfits can for posting an equivalent item half way across the globe?

I always send stuff in recycled packaging - better than filling up a landfill with bubblewrap. As long as you don't charge extra for materials I would say its ok.

Yeah, I save and reuse all packaging. I'm a bit of a hoarder for 'useful-looking' boxes.

lol...funny!

i have no problems with the re-cycled packing, i do it myself. But i dont then charge extra for the cost of the packing, as it basically cost nothing.

I will write another nice reply, and see how it goes on.

Thanks again chaps.
