Six weeks?!!, have you two found alternative accommodation yet?
I'd consider placing everything you can into storage, just to help prevent breakages & dust ruining any thing...the minor work we've got going on here @ the moment is producing shed loads of dust.

There is a secure room which will be locked and off limits, other security arrangements will be arranged tomorrow when the builder arrives,
We will be borrowing a nice little 4 bed converted farmhouse for the wait, so not the end of the world.
I would like to see your army face mine Steve it might take a while to get the troops set up mind, And I'm sure the good ladies would appreciate our efforts,

I'd pay to see that.
At least there is progress being made. My Nana got flooded out 2 months ago and has been living in a motel since then, another month or two before she can move back.
My cousin went to visit the day after the floods, Nana (89) was cooking scones for my Grandfather in ankle deep water and also drying out her RAF discharge papers. I figure she lived thru the Blitz, a flood won't bother her.
Every time a car went down the street waves would run thru then house.
Good luck, old buddy.

Thanks Mark.
Sounds like Granny Chop is a real fighter.
I'll just be relieved when it's over and we can get on with our lives, this has been an emotional rollercoaster for us both and difficult to live with, but once it's done and we're back home it'll be like it never happened I'm sure.
And spending a few days putting the command centre back together will give me hours of fun,

Absolutely. When you and Annie get through this happily ever after, you might as well pop the 'big question', as nothing will be able to stop you two!
