Bill the suit wasn't worn for long as Tony Stark built it and was spying on Peter with it. So when Peter changed sides in the Civil war and found about the spying he wore his original costume again.

yeah mate, i know. i have most of the issues he appeared in which wasnt too many and most of the feedback about the new suit on most comic boards was pretty negative
