The MOTU 2002 revival was good too, til Mattel ruined it with their disparity in toy releases.

Battlestar Galactica was an okay revival. Good show overall, but a lot of things about it annoyed me.

The V remake, however, is utterly turgid.

Elizabeth Mitchell aside I have stopped watching V as well it lacks the same suspense as the original.

Although I badly want Red Dwarf to return to its former glories, there is this deep down knowledge that it'll have been visited by the 'suck' fairy and really won't be worth the effort. I suppose we can live in hope.

I'd quite like to be visited by the suck fairy. I imagine you have to leave more than a tooth under the pillow for that one.

I loved Galactica! Thought it better than the original. Although like the original some episodes were weak.

On the one hand I liked Galactica as the cast were all excellent and the FX were spectacular, but on the other I didn't like it because there was absolutely zero humour. When it hit the mark the pace was dark and gritty, when it missed the mark it was unbelievably dull.

As for there being a plan, as was cited at the beginning of every episode, that's complete bollocks. They clearly made it up as they went along, compare it to Babylon5 for endgame and it just doesn't compare.

I'm also fed up with sci-fi shows without aliens, or aliens / robots who look like everyday people. It's such a cop-out. The only times it's ever worked were the original V and first Terminator film. Compare it the fantastically imaginative aliens and monsters in Farscape and once again, back to dull.

I also could have done without the religious overtones. I found Adama Jr. a bit weak at times too.

Bah.
