The new V is pretty good while not echoing Nazism like the original there are some story elements that remain the same I can't wait to see more of it. Elizabeth Mitchell definitely makes it worth watching in my opinion.

Have you tried down the back of the sofa DA? Whenever I lose something, that's where it always seems to go!
(I have V on the Skybox to watch, so judgement is reserved yet. Along with lots of episodes of TruBlood, which I'm still not sure about and I'm halfway through series 2! It's got that whole I'll give it one more go, the next episode might be a bit better" thing about it. Oh, and Sookie is hot!)

I was on the fence for season one of True Blood, but thought season two was superb!
