He ran out of places for his lollies? So is the Euro one, pockets? Or the US one? I'm picking Euro.

been looking further, I cannot find a swivel arm figure without some sort of 'made in' on the rear-end. The pocket and the stamp are less pronounced on the later releases when production moved from Hong Kong to China.

Can anyone find anymore figures that have no stamp?

Hi guys!

I have some info that might be helpful.

The US also had a policy that items had to be identified with country of origin (if not made in the US), so all the figures imported to the US from Hong Kong had some sort of "made in..." imprint.

Firefly was released in 4 main markets: US/Canada, UK/Europe, Japan, and India/Egypt

The Firefly released in the first 3 all had "Hong Kong" on the bum, and a pocket :-)

When Funskool got the mold, it smoothed out the bum to remove the "Hong Kong" and inadvertently got rid of the pocket in the process...

So, Thundershot, you have a rare Funskool Firefly, there! Very cool! They are not easy to come by!
Do you, by chance, also have the original Funskool weapons? They are grey instead of green.

Take care, all!
Aire

Lucky bugger. There you go, Airedevon to the rescue again. ;-)

T'shot, I have whitish grey gun and walkie talkie (acc pack versions I think). If you want to trade them for green versions, I'd be happy to accommodate you. ;-)

Thanks Aire,
That would also help explain the 'glossy' finish of the smooth bottomed one...the colours are slightly different between the two, but I just put it down to ageing process & play-wear in the past.

Thanks for the very kind offer Chop, hope you don't mind if I pass on it for the moment will ya? :-D

thought that might have been it, wasn't about to remove the one I have from his card to check.

The more noticeable difference I wolud have thought is that he should therefore be missing the cobra emblem on his arm?

:-? Both of 'em am having the :cobra: present & correct....if a little worn.

I've remembered which is which as well :!: , the smooth glossy one came from the boot sale, it was hidden in with a lot of bric-a-brack...I recall the guy selling it saying "Thats a Star Wars toy, ain't it?" This was from the Peterborough Football ground boot sale... Oh & he didn't look like an Indian chap b.t.w.

that is odd then, are there any other differences, like quality of the paint job or plastic?
