Totally awesome Rene! Lovely photo of your town too. My Grandparents returned year after year to Denmark for fishing holidays as they said the fishing was great, the landscape beautiful and the people were extremely welcoming and friendly.

Well, its typically around £5 for a pint so not sure how that compares to your current expenses at the pub :-D

Thanks, Aarhus is the second largest city in DK with around 350.000 citizens so they have probably been here too :-)

That thing looks immense! Must be the greatest playset of all time - can you imagine the guy at Hasbro pitching this to the bean counters? I find it hard to believe Hasbro actually made any money on these behemoths, like when mainstream car manufacturers build bonkers supercars (think VW and the Veyron). It's like 'yeah, we know where gonna lose money on these but just look what we can do!' I doubt we well ever see anything like this in the shops again ...

Did we ever get this in the UK?

apparently there was one on display at either Harrods or Hamleys for a while, but they were never sold over here.

i have seen a carrier toy for matchbox scale planes in TRU a few years back though...

Not officially but a few "smaller" independent stores stocked it as well as the likes of Hamleys. The seller of mine bought it in the UK...

Was very surprised at the retail price in the US which although 25 years ago still seems astonishingly low, yojoe quotes $90 but think it was a little higher, esp in catalogues like Sears etc...

it wasnt an official release but there were a few stores which had it albeit maybe just the one.

it would have been later than the us release and some may have been shipped over for hasbro uk to promote the line not too sure. I know one member here said he saw it on display in a local toy shop and when I spoke to a hasbro rep a few years ago he remembered them having a few over here for display purposes.

Officially the Flagg was never released in Europe, but I do know of a USS Flagg with Dutch blueprints, I know of a French one. They seem to have made their way to Europe in small batches per country.
