VERY sweet dude. Love the kits too, nice Lysander. Is that A4 an RAN/RAAF version?

Thanks Mate. Good eye on the A-4 , it's a RAN one. went a bit too heavy on the weathering though :-? The Lysander was a pig of a kit the instructions weren't very good so there were a few errors along the way and a bit of swearing too!

I seem to recall that Tamiya did high quality kits but Airfix had the best range. But the Tamiya Tanks were excellent, kids today don't know what they are missing.

I have a 1/72 Lancaster by Airfix. The quality is pretty poor. The 2 halves of the fuselage were not good fits at all. I also have a Airfix Lysander. That one's not great but it came up OK. Matchbox had some pretty good kits back in the day too.

I have a A4D and RNZAF decals for a project one day. Only hassle is the decals are for the last generation A4K (Kahu) so I'll have to lop the avionics bubble off the top. Big job that one.

Superb collection!

People tend to forget that a lot of the Airfix kits that you buy today still date back to the 60's & 70's...they were good back in the day, but have been overtaken by modern standards.

I can't speak for any of the modern Airfix kits as I've never built any of 'em, or in fact any models for years now...but I keep looking @ the Airfix TSR-2 kit & may have a go, has any one got this one & is it easy to build?

I've got the TSR2 in the 60 odd kits still to build (am not allowed to go to the model shop without supervision  ) The parts look ok but it is a new mold. It'll be some time before I get round to that one.

My Airfix Lanc was bought (and built) around 1986. I have about 5 models to build atm. Only reason I don't get more is space. I have no room for this damned Roboskull let alone Lancaster's ;-) Last model I built my Wife bought for me, Anakins pod. I was surprised how much better I'd got at building only because I have become more patient since I've grown up. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Her's some photo's of why I'm not allowed to buy anymore kits :-( The pile that has the Beaufighter in is sitting on a box containing about twenty kits and an hour long lecture!

Sweet ensemble dude; Ikea must be proud, but Palitoy and Airfix trump all.

Yet yer missus must be pissed in the worst sense.

Keep the dream alive. \\//

I mostly build 1/72. Cheaper and easier to display ;-) Till I started collecting AF, that is. You should open a model shop, Paul.
