People working at Funskool are either colourblind or on acid all the time, or maybe even both for that matter.

This item is only interesting if you are a pure completist. OK, this item might be rare, but to call it a holy grail is too much. Quality of Funskool is really inferior and the colour scheme is worse than Eco-Force! There are other official items that deserve that title more.

It's one of those bizarre things in the colelcting world - the quality is crap - worse than normal stuff, the colour schemes like something Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen would put together and generally they seem like a cheap market knock off of the genuine thing, but they are rare, and collectors go mental for them it seems! $35k as a buy it now! Madness. To quote Jaye - it's only a bit of plastic!!! But then again, some things are worth more than the sum of their component parts, and to a purist collector, it's worth what it's worth! Good luck to the lad - I hope he gets his $35k, but if he does, it'll not be from me!

And cheers Jon - I have a real hankering for marmite now, and I'm sat here at work with not a jar in sight!

For $35K you can buy the factory in India, staff included! :D

On a more serious note, for $35K you can buy every a very, very large Hasbro GI Joe collection!

As for collectors going mental: only the seller is mental, this item will not even break the $500 barrier.

From the item's accompanying blurb:

"PAYPAL users - by bidding on this item you are agreeing not to charge back through Paypal"

So, the seller wants the customer to pay an extortionate amount and give up a legitimate form of protection because others have misused it?

Bah.

Having now seen the colour scheme I can see why it's been kept locked in a safe for years.

true, he then more than likely didn't open it or try to sell it because it's so sh*t.

I take it you'll not be bidding then Eddie? Now come on, I'm sure it would look lovely in the West Wing of AnnEdd Towers?

Neither Annie nor Eddie are on acid on a regular basis so I don't see why they would have the need for this item.
