Lindy Pine actually joined the forum after seeing them!

Lol, just been reading thru them. I'm pretty sure the one I had wasn't in that lot. Have any other ex Palitoy employee's shown up here, Baron?

Hadn't seen those before.
Reading through that lot, the overarching thing that strikes me is that Palitoy gave a crap about its young customers.
For example, the reason I have a Z Force Troop carrier is that a friend of mine wrote to them to say that his was missing the stretcher inside (or something, cannot remember what), and they sent him a whole new one - which he gave to me!

The letter illustrate this also... they really cared, not just about the money!

Really impressive! Especially compared to todays mass marketed stuff aimed at sqeezing as much money as possible from everyone.

It's funny. I kept absolutely everything to do with AF, and yet i don't have the tape, and i don't recall ever owning it.

I guess they were a bit hit and miss with what they gave away and in what order and place. I suppose that would explain their good cstomer relations! If you are that random, you get used to dealing with enquiries of "i didn't get my..." fill in the blank.

OK, I fold... what's the message?

Actually, Hopper, would you mind supplying scans of the Code Breaker in all of its permutations?

Ha!
I have just realised that I never sent anything to you, nor gave you my full name (call me paranoid, but only the NSA and KGB would really care... Herr Quickfire, you were right all along!)

I will scan (if I can - will a photograph do?) tomorrow...

Cheers,
Tim

Never saw this thread before, it even survived the crash  , remember Dr. Hopps reviving it in some form or other last year tho' ... Collectively an omen of some sort or other.

:stake: Paranoia quite appeals to me actually.
:jackal: That is why we win.
:quick: They're hacking US diplomats and the EU High Reps at will mann.

In honour of the omen, and because I can't get the link above to work (well, it was posted in pre-2009, maybe c. midsummer or autumn 2006 originally as Eisenblut was kind enough to upload to the site then and Ms. Pine wrote in soon after and there've been a few changes around here in the interim), ... here's the Lindy Pine letter.

What mattered to me was the letter's PS.: the first time I knew the :enemy: would return in BAF ... And I was glad amidst the wails and lamentations induced by the pensioning off of :sas: :zforce: :qforce: :space: :enemy:

I did try to contact Lindy a few times when I was out in California after she posted on the forum but to no avail :.

Also notable that there was some kind of overall transition plan in place already, stickers, FANG = HAWK etc.

:redwolf2: What happened to the Roboskull? That's what I want to know.

:quick:

PS. Forgive the infant efforts at a form of orthographical annotation on the missive - had been brain-washed by a grammatical test not long before, developed OCD and thought everything was a test or something  Maybe it was just the first sign of :AFLogo: :enemy: -disappearance induced PTSD.

PPS. I don't have a copy of the INDIGNANT communication I sent off to Coalville in the first instance. But must have been late Feb or early March 1985 as seem to remember they replied fairly quickly.
