Sorry to hear about Milo mate, hope the little guy's gonna be O.K!
Never been a dog owner myself but most of my friends are..I know how big a part of someones life they become. How's your wife holding up?

Aw man...this is f*cked, poor little dude Milo :(

I don't have any dogs, just one cat, Berbils! and I feel exactly the same way, he busted his leg in an accident (fortunately he was fine in the end) and I was freaking out!!!

As sincere as forum comments can be I really hope he gets better, you seem like a good guy best I can tell so I genuinely hope things work out for you. Hang in there bro!!!

i managed to get by on anger until i logged on here & now im a wreck!
my wife is @ work, but she shouldnt be as she really isnt holding up. went to see him earlier & he looked a lot better than i expected, was alert & happy to see us, but obviously low on energy & in a lot of pain. he still has drain tubes in the worst of the wounds & cant really move, he will have some nasty war wounds! if he keeps improving, he will be ok but the problem is he has a lot of tissue damage around his shoulder & the blood flow is limited, if it doesnt improve the tissue will start to die & he will need skin grafts or he could loose the leg, by this point his chance of survival would be slim.
might sound stupid to some people, but apart from my wife this lil guy is my best friend, i'll be so lost without him & julia just wont cope.

Mate I admire your reserve. Fingers crossed for Milo. When you do finally leave, the last day as all your stuff is leaving maybe some revenge and then a quick drive to the airport!

Ross, don't do anything without the presence of a witness.

Poor Milo, he really has had a rough life - I'm glad to hear he's looking better. I've had cats all my life, with many a horrific vet visit. Animals bounce back from the worst kinds of accident.

As he is happy to see you, that's reason to live right there.

he was better 2nite, siting up, we didint stay long because he kept trying to get out of his pen & wanted us to pick him up, but he needs to rest.
both sides of him are shaved & he has drainage pipes running out of his bigger wounds & a sh*t load of stitches.
bless him, he coping with it well considering! still this worry about the blood flow, but it's more of a worry than actually expected.
touch wood, things are looking up a bit, but even if he makes it out ok recovery will take a while, still dont know how much permanent muscle damage there will be.
