I'm half tempted to ask the seller for a close up photo..I can't really tell from that picture, but if it has been painted it does look well done..that is to say it looks just like the other black coloured molded figures & not a scabby/bad paint job.

If it is a repaint, with a nice smooth finish ... why would someone paint the face ??

That's a good question..a total respray?
I've never painted a whole :AFLogo: figure myself, just the beret's..how easy is it to get a nice smooth shiny finish like that?
Would the paint crack up over time with wear & tear?
Mind you, with that many :shadow:'s in the group it's bound to be out of my price range to get my hands on it to find out :-(

It just seems strange that the face is painted. could have been a small child with a black spray can ?

possible, check out my palitoy shadow custom (im not sure if the baron has added it yet) that was an all over paint job, after a couple of weeks it got slightly tacky, but a another coat of semi clear top sorted it right out!

If it was done by a kid, I dont think he'd of gone to all that trouble Ross, just of nipped out, down to Holfords for a can of car spray paint or reached out for his Humbrol tinlets.. which would make the good finish much more remarkable.
