Fourth house since childhood. Never had any 'real' problems during moving, decorating or (de)construction work.

Not long after moving into the little flat I inhabited before meeting Eddie....

Getting ready for a night out, finished in the bathroom and flushed the loo. There was a little drip from the cistern so I put down some paper towel to soak it up.

Came home at 7am and found that the drip had turned into a full-blown flood - the entire bathroom was swimming in water - it had gone round the edges of the lino and soaked the floorboards and appeared to be leaking through to downstairs

Which wouldn't have been so much of a problem if my bathroom wasn't directly above the body fridge of my friendly, undertaker landlord...

(fortunately, no circuits had been shorted, I was just left with a stinky bathroom for a while... )
