pics look great, i always struggle with the close up shots even with macro settings i seem to get a wobble on.

On my camera when I hold the button half way down for a second or two it will auto focus and lock on, not sure if this is how its supposed to work but it works for me ! also a white background helps.

mine will hold the picture when half pressed i always seem to move at the last second so it blurs, takes me 5 or 6 goes to get it right it's not the camera it's me and my party sausage fingers.

perhaps you could try a small tripod ? or rest the camera on a solid surface when snap shotting ?

I can vouch for using the dining room table and a jar of Vegemite to sit the camera on. I got the same dodgy sausage fingers as Eddie I think.

you can buy miniature tabletop tripods, I keep meaning to invest in one buy havent as yet. I have one of those absurd massive telescoping things somewhere which wouldnt look out of place on a television camera !
