I think the only way of doing it would be with a smaller head, like the Princess Leia Bousch one from Star Wars. The helmet probably would have to be made thicker too! Possibly with miliput?

I've got some helmet experimentation planned in the weeks to come (

), so will give it a go.
I think it may be easier to build up a Shad shape with Miliput on another larger helmet and then sand it back to Shadow shaped.

Actually model shop latex brush on stuff, over an original shadow head would make a rubber mask like helmet like the star wars one.. Plus it would be bigger, flexible and already hollow.. I feel an experiment coming on! Anyone who's ever had a go at mask making should get the gist!

I made a mask of a mutant shark head for a friend's low budget movie and I think latex could be sturdy enough. I can't remember if it is sandable to the right smooth finish though.

any thoughts?????
having problems getting the helmet

as it means buying a complete model kit.

Buy one of the ultimate soldier Germans and paint him Red with an original shadow head, whilst using his tin hat for your conversion!

that was the plan but the helmets too small
i think tamiya?? do 1/16 models which are slightly larger.
gonna visit the model shop during the week see if he'll let me open 1 of the boxes up.

I'm still of the opinion that a smaller head is the answer rather than a larger helmet (ooh err)

i agree and plan on using a smaller head for my red laser but for the shad i want to use the CG helmet as a base so the german helmet has to fit over it.
