Are they fondly remembered? Is there a He-Man forum where codpieces and loin cloths are eagerly swapped? Maybe it was a northern thing but He-Man Skele-Mupp and Optimus were never really thought of as big sellers, poncing about as they were "I am the power" and all that crap.

I guess that's born out by how well the transformers comic did...

were heavily British. That great bio of Eisenblut in one of the BAF Annuals relied heavily on intimations of causal Nazi devilry (it's over on BFTB.. somewhere).
