Darn!! Does that now make the Action Man chat off topic though? Even I'm now confused, although it is Monday, so no surprises there. The Baron wrote:Topic moved. When will you learn you cannot fool me?

Cheers again Andy! I am indeed still looking - going to take me a while to sort out a "wants" list for these, but those pics make the job much easier, thanks.

Hi Steve I've found Lando's locker a helpful site http://www.landoslocker.com/index.shtml
The vintage section of rebelscum is just about perfect for old stuff..even tells you what colour weapons go which figure, but I think that maybe only really usefull to anoraks like myself..
Of course 30 odd years of collecting this stuff's the biggest help, & I get the feeling a lot of us here know a good deal about Star Wars toy's, as well as Actionman...probably Star Trek too,Oh & Battlestar Galactica.. James Bond..Transformers..Duke of Hazzard..etc etc..blah blah blah yakkity smackity..

You will also need to know how to spot repros, as the Star wars market id heaving with the bloody things !
Best way is the water test ... if it sinks its a repro, if it floats its genuine !
Quick and simple, but there are 2 exceptions ( I think ) yodas cane and Teebos axe, both originals sink, as do the repros !
The Jawas Armourey also has a few tips for spotting Repro weapons .........

However the best advice I could give to avoid even having to test and run the risk of getting stung in the first place is to buy off trusted and reputable sources.Andy1672 wrote:You will also need to know how to spot repros, as the Star wars market id heaving with the bloody things !

as far as I know no one makes copies of things like the jungle fighters hat yet, cue someone posting a link to a Jungle fighters hat repro' dealer..

I was there, with pretty much a similar set up to the one in the pic, but that pic was at Earls Court last summer.
Were you there on the 1st then?

Yep, I was there..I wasn't sure if it was you or not..I knew I should of introduced myself..but didn't want to make a tit of myself if it wasn't you..
You know, some strange bloke introducing himself "Hi.. I'm Thundershot! are you Mr Tree..?" I'd of felt a right wanker if it hadn't of been you..
Mabe it time I should start using my real name here..?
