Now I'm awake I do know a couple of kiwi's that trained at Duntroon and Pukapunyal in Aussie as part of their officer training. And the reverse too, Aussie Squadron leaders serving in the RNZAF etc. I'm also sure I've seen Poms serving in both Aussie and NZ and Kiwis serving in the US military as far back as Vietnam, most likely earlier. Particularly special forces like the NZ SAS. Even the UK SAS had troops fighting with the SEALS etc. I'm not sure if the Kiwi's still do as the Yanks got a bit upset in the late 80's when the NZ government told them to keep their nuclear vessels at home and the ANZUS treaty dissolved.

Actually NZ No2 Squadron was stationed in Aussie permanently in the later years of its life too.

People always get exchange tours it's a normal part of Forces life. One of my mates was a bit pissed off a few years ago when he was being sent to fly Phantoms with the German Air Force he wanted something with the USAF. He was glad when it fell through.

That sucks. Luftwaffe are good for nothings: beyond patrolling the "German Sea" with the TR3s.

At least they werent putting them in the same drink like the Eyeties throughout the 90s.
