Alot of people believe the line began to deteriorate in 1987 with the introduction of Cobra-La, or even with Sci-Fi, the first neon coloured character in 1986. Tiger-Force, Python Patrol had mixed reactions also, but I have to admit some of the figures between 1990 and 1994 have grown on me since I first saw them.
I'd go with that. It was at that point I stopped collecting, they were just getting silly. Not very realistic at all. The septic tank does look crappy, I have a Cobra Rat as well, man that's about as cheap and nasty as it gets.

Thanks for the scans too GP, do you have any cats from 1989 or 1990 by any chance?

Mark

I am trying to army build the Red Shadows using some alternatives recently there have been a lot of Red Shadow figures on E-Bay if I had the money spare I would love to get them. Then again if I had the money to spare I wouldn't be in this pokey flat and would live nearer my girlfriend.

I think I have the ones that Scoobydie posted on another thread, along with most of the US issues, I'll have a check and see.

The vehicles released were definately an indicator of shaky times to come, the 1987 Buzz Boar anyone? Also the Pogo and Coastal Defender weren't great, Larry Hama's depiction of these and his obvious dislike for Serpentor in the comics speaks volumes.

Poor old Outback. It does make my meagre collection look poor too.

Do you have any catalogues from 1989 by any chance GP?
