I was reading something about this on Rebelscum.
Something about defective batches of plastic parts mixed in with the good and assembled on the line.
You don`t notice til a few years down the line.
The pink Leia springs to mind.

looks as though snowjob may have been repaired using 2 different figures ?

one yellowed in the sun and one not ?

or perhaps his mystery weapon is still to blame ?

I think people had big windows, or they all all got left in the garden too long.
Sure we had something called sunshine back in those days!!
Do you remember that "snow" stuff too?

My snowjob from when I was a kid had the same problem, part of the leg went yellow, guess it was to do with the plastic used in the leg mould at the time...

Naw, all plastic yellows to a degree. It could take 100 years, or as little as a week. I worked at a plastics factory for years and I'm not kidding I saw some pristine white trays get put up for a week while the next mold part was being run. When it was pulled down 20 or so were yellowed and its not like it was just one batch of plastic either. It will happen to any white figure but it might take another 80 years for some of you guys. Sadly there is no way to prevent it sulight makes it happen faster but even i a dark constant climate room it will happen. The only more annoying thing is metalic coloured plastic, those get super brittle with age.
