steve wrote:Ok to continue the best and worst theme what are the best and worst original Palitoy Vehicles?

Original
Best - AF5 - Three toys for the price of one, and it did really float :D , but not fly
Worst - AF7 Diving Platform - Wow a floating hole!

Wave 1 (Choose between the z force jeep, shadowtrack, satellite defence, swordfish, cosmic cruiser, stingray, boat patrol)
Best - Cosmic Cruiser - Really clever reuse of AF5
Worst - SAS Boat Patrol - It is the roof off of a jeep, cost effective yes, innovative no!

Wave 2 (Choose between Sealion, Roboskull, Triad Fighter)
Best - Roboskull - No competition
Worst - Difficult choice, but the of the three I would go for the Triad Fighter as it really should have been a little larger in scale

Overall Winner - Has to be the Roboskull!
Overall loser - Has to the SAS Roof Patrol! :D
Original - hadn't started getting any AF toys at this time, but I do like the AF5.

Wave 1 -
Best - Was always a big fan of z-force, so it has to be the Jeep.
Worst - Cosmic Cruiser. Never a fan of the space force line.

Wave 2 -
Best - I agree, has to be the Roboskull.
Worst - Triad fighter.

The Roboskull was great I never had one but it's the ultimate weapon of terror so that's the best for worst the AF vechicle the ShadowTrak was moulded from the one with huge silly boosters on it but for worst figures definitely the Kraken and Skeletron the Kraken had a good BAF story but was a crap figure and what were they smoking when they designed the Skeletron??

Kraken and SKeletron both had superb large hands though, none of your dodgy air-guitaists who kept droppping their weapons there. Hmm, worst figure for me was probably Leviathan, and worst vehicle the Shadowtrak. Best figure was Red Wolf and vehicle has to be the Panther.

All over best: Z Force Jeep -> that vehicle kicked ass for me as a youngster and as a matter of fact, it still does! :D
All over worst: Roboskull -> that vehicle is just pish. He-Man crossed-ver with some Star Wars sauce. Barto and Plastik are spot on !

Fools. It's a VTOL interstellar dreadnought. It totally rocks.

Here we go again on the Roboskull... sheesh...

Am in complete agreement with the Baron!

:quick:

PS El Baroni, you've really surpassed yourself this time with "interstellar dreadnought", hell yeah!

PPS Obviously should have posted my rant about :blades: and :hunter: here, I increasingly think their vehicles suck ass majorly in the :sas: context. And the Space Force stuff, Roboskull versus the Cosmic Cruiser and Satellite Defence a bit like biplanes versus Messerschmitts, nichts?

You have a problem with covertly parachuting in a stealth missile tank?

Not if it's for indirectly attacking a Hyena column going in the opposite direction before bugging out to an RV at max speed. Either to get out of the contact completely or to reload one missile at a time...

Otherwise, rather than making mincemeat of :laser:, combat experience shows that the Laser Exterminator usually out ranges the poxy little missiles. All 12 of which are needed to down one Roboskull at insanely close range. That is, if you ever managed to pull them out of their fuggin sockets once they were stickered and loaded. The MMS guarantees one hit and the :enemy: target is out of the game.

:hunter: is also extremely vulnerable to small arms fire unless someone else provides fire support. Maybe he should just deploy on combined ops with :steeler:. Not least because on covert ops you can't drive it into a garage behind enemy lines, let alone nick bits off other vehicles, and repair it like :stalker: could.

Thus, the SAS Panther is a far more utile platform for war-making. And more likely to fit in an 80's C130 or Chinook.

Although you could use the Wolverine like a Unimog as part of a fighting column just to hulk various bits of kit around, as well as the inevitable casualties such as the inevitable shuriken-fodder :stake:
