I think I have a good solution for the console worked out, and am thinking of making a few,
How many people need one? I think the cost would work out at around £2 each, depending on demand (ie more than 5!)

I finally completed my first on Saturday, I have lots of semi complete ones and some I had to break open to get at the cog things... Im in need of consoles more than legs, did anything come of Mutons fix?
