You might be able to get the face panel off with a razor saw. But like Paul I wouldn't want to try it. Looks really good as it is though.

I think youd need two helmets, one to saw out the face panel and the other to saw out the helmet... Trying to saw that precisely would be a nightmare and there would be gaps, with two you could make a decent job, I might try it sometime if I ever get the parts for it...

Ahhh - I return from a few days out and about to find the art of subtle hints is not dead and gone! (PM me an address and one of the the Barons is yours ready for a trip to the guilotine Kraken! One condition - we get pics of the finished item?)

Just noticing - were there variants of Baron with white/grey/blonde hair? Or do I just have a few that would benefit from some Head and Shoulders after years under that tin hat?

theres a hood that matches the original look but for the helmet is a new styles cobra commanders helmet so its close but not exactly like the original

now Alyosha used to do one ( original cast and sculpt of the oringal style helmet) that would be perfect for this
