Oh that's so ridiculous, like their empire is gonna come crashing down as a result of their dedicated fanbase!!
As long as we don't sell them it should be fine, and yeah I'm only talking about the impossible to find pieces, not the whole range.

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly. GTG is still going with their original and customised pieces, but they are not allowed to sell anything that is a direct copy of a Hasbro part. Seems ridiculous as they are not producing these parts anymore, unless they are planning to do things with the 25th line and vehicles. But then you have to factor in the "official" GI Joe fan club that is Master Collector. They are sanctioned to reproduce parts to make repro and new figures from the old molds.
Got this from JoeCustoms who got it from JBL, etc:

Hasbro Provides Customizing Guidelines to Collectors
Dear Fans and Customizers, The G.I. JOE team would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the customizing community and the incredible creativity and passion that goes into each one of your projects. We are continually impressed by your work.
The customizing community ranges from those who work with product to those who customize packages and artwork. There has recently been some confusion as to what constitutes the legal resale of customized product and what constitutes trademark infringement. The following guidelines for using Hasbro trademarks should provide some clarity.
1. Hasbro encourages the customizing of individual figures for personal usage, and can be resold as one-of-a-kind, out-of-package figures.
2. All Hasbro artwork, such as card art, cannot be reprinted without permission from Hasbro. These assets contain Hasbro-owned trademarks and logos, and cannot be sold or reproduced without Hasbro’s permission
3. Hasbro owned trademarks such as character names and the GI Joe brand name cannot be used without written permission from Hasbro.
As we look to the future of the G.I. JOE franchise, we want to ensure that the customizing community can thrive while Hasbro continues to protect the brand that it has spent the last 45 years creating. Hasbro will become more aggressive in the legal pursuit of counterfeit product that is being sold in all channels. We appreciate your cooperation with this matter.
Thank you.
Good To Go were told to stop producing the straight repro stuff. Hasbro seem to be okay if something is modified, as long as none of their trademarks are infringedNot sure how this will affect the Red Shadow heads.
BTW, in that respect, I may be offering up resin "Buckets with a face in the slot" at some point if anybody is interested. These are solid pieces with a face fitted in, so they are completely modified.
Vega 1, I am on to it, I haven't forgotten.

I agree strongly with Kambei!

That is 100% true, but in the end a repro part will show up somewhere as original. I might sell a part as being repro, but my buyer might re-sell it to a third party as original. In the end nobody knows what is what anymore.

So, back to my original question: Does anyone actually have the green aerial and could someone post a photo for us to see this elusive little fella!
Once I can actually see one, I'll paint a canoe aerial green and can rest in peace...

Found a radio pack with a slightly ,not the same but similar antenna.
Could be a temporary measure until the real deal comes along

I was wondering about this, would it be possible to take a mould of the Silent Attack aeriel, melt down something green like a Shaft and make up a dozen replacement ATC aeriels?
I've got about six of these APCs, including one which I was given by my mother for Xmas. That and the towrope for the Wolverine are the only items which didn't seem to survive the intervening 20 years in her loft - typical!
I though along similar lines to yourself Baron, but trying to use the sprues from the Z Force Weapons Pack to trim or mold to make a couple. I don't know how difficult it would be to use the Silent Attack (which is the same piece) to recreate it. As usual on my list of 'things to do'.

Hi Jimbo, I've got 20 green apc aerials at the 'manufacturers' at the moment.
A guy in the US is casting them for me and I should be receiving them in about 3 to 4 weeks.
I know this will upset a few of the 'strictly original' collectors here, but I figure there's no chance of me ever getting a actual original - if one ever did come up for sale, the price would probably be ridiculous for a tiny piece of plastic. So, I've taken matters into my own hands
So, I've 20 coming [20 was the minimum the guy would do]. One for me and, hopefully, the other 19 for forum members. I don't particularly want to sell on ebay, someone will try and pass it on as real I'm sure. At least here, there's [hopefully] a high degree of honesty and integrity among the vast majority. So, anyway, more news when they arrive at my door.
If you want to 'reserve' one, pm me.
No idea on price yet, as the guy hasn't given me a price. I'm expecting 'somewhere' between £5 to £10 per aerial, posted which is scandalous for a small piece of plastic I know, but much less than the price of an original.
Let the flames begin....
