Blueprints did come in both blue and black. When I get chance I'll check what boxes I have

Was thankful to get these battered boxes for £40, as I noticed the Panther's blueprints were an even newer variant. The plans show how to assemble the jeep due to it needing to fit inside the new style picture card box. On closer inspection of the blueprints, its Line number is L1484 which falls between

SAS - Para Attack L1483
Q Force - Stingray L1489

Compared with the original black blueprints L1188 that were later reprinted in blue for the yellow roll bar window box versions

Both boxes also had printed numbers on the inside and the Panther box doesn't have France scribbled out in blue biro, so suggests it was an early version before production was ceased in France.

Panther also has a label attached
443 980
9990011
3506/1857

Maybe its a Batch Code/Shipping lablel or the Catalogue number, although 935134 was for the original SAS Panther & Figure & 935264 (New Pack)

Panther = 62CA 34

Roboskull = 279CA 2 and is unfortunately missing its "Manufactured in" flap

I also like the way they taped on the extra assembly step 6; corrections often occurred within their print Lines.

I've emailed CazzaVR to see if the Star Wars community are aware and could also benefit from Hopper's TimeLine discovery, since Palitoy used the similar codes on their Star Wars prints.

Great stuff Mr Orc, and well done on getting word to our cousins!

I have a few observations
I noticed that all Palitoy official paperwork has an L number attached to it
An Action Man message form I have has the number L33 (very low indeed), and a later Action man poster has the number L590.
For those of you unaware, the same thing is observed on Palitoy's Star Wars line - so my instructions for the Millennium Falcon have the number L296. The Kenner instructions don't have this number so it is a Palitoy exclusive feature.

As has been mentioned, there is a timeline of releases here, that allows us to date, relatively, the releases.

Gaps in the numbering would be explained by those numbers appearing in other Palitoy toylines (Star Wars, Action Man... er... what else?)

A greater man than myself could compile the whole of Palitoy's paper output using these codes.

AFWhilrwindBox.JPG
Pending more evidence it seems the following all have England crossed out in blue biro, as were made in France

Z Force - Dart L1434 05.1418 (Hand)
Z Force - Lance L1435 None
Z Force - Shaft L1436 None
Z Force - Whirlwind L1445 05.1421 (Hand) (Box code = 129C435)
