Such a shame Vectis don't give AF the same attention as SW. That's just sloppy. I have to admit I glossed over that lot based on the Joe stuff, that's also sloppy!Coosbay_pirate wrote:It's definitely the Joes in bubbles that sent that auction through the roof.. Would have loved to own that Deep Six and the other variants within the lot.. Kraken is right, why not separate the AF from the Joe's? Vectis strikes again!

Re: vectis
Some prices were insane, £540 for an ATC when in the last auction they went for £300.
I presume that is the last of the Palitoy employees stuff. I would have thought the vendor would have told Vectis about the difference in AF and joe stuff, or is it down to Vectis what they put in each lot?

Re: vectis
I imagine the vendor pointed out a few things of interest and then left vectis to organise the rest..
It was a shamble really as you had 2 possible packaging samples mixed up with carded figures, then clearly prototype figures mixed with loose figures, zero knowledge by the auction house
I agree the prices were stupid this time round compared to a few months back, the roboskulls were also crazy at £480 and £540 plus fees, I'm not sure why anyone would think those are good prices? Last time the cardboard headquarters sold for £35 this time it was £110

I think there's still more to come if Bob Brechin keeps on selling as I know he's got a proto roboskull and skeletron, but expect would need to remortgage the house to buy anything

Cool thanks, could be interested if one is spare.Coosbay_pirate wrote:There were 2 of them, I got one, tried to snag the other. The bubble is definitely yellow.. I hope it's not cracked.I've picked up 2 Deep Sea Defender's with normal/regular elastic band.. so one of those could be available.

Re: vectis
Being spurred on from the last one and having never tried Vectis before, I was also surprised by the high opening bids, that immediately exceeded my budget but was fun to watch live. However, I got sucked in and blew it on the last set of 6 figures.
(1) Z Force Radio Operator; (2) Q Force Deep Sea Defender; (3) SAS Frogman; (4) Z Force Sapper; (5) Z Force Infantryman; (6) Z Force Captain (bubble is loose from card); Near Mint to Mint, mainly sealed within Good to Excellent (some yellowed) bubbles, upon Good to Excellent card backs; (6).
Lot 5390
http://www.vectis.co.uk/Page/ViewLot.as ... 4&Start=20
The Z Force Sapper legs made me laugh seeing them trapped in the bubble like that which is something I had never seen before. The black German rifle at the bottom of the card of Cpt. Campbell is quite common though. The black SA80 also appealed, as have seen it recently sell for £100 to the Star Wars fans (YPS Storm Trooper but thankfully I managed to get a cheap one in a Ebay job lot since it was blending in with its background, apart from its bayonet holder poking out).

Invoice currently stands at £170 hammer price, £210 total but just emailed to enquire about PnP being £0.00 but probably due to me not arranging it yet (have read from others it is expensive). So £35 per figure so far but at least they were the black sticker and stand up bubbles (some yellow though), that I wanted to start my carded collection. Is there any value in the provenance being 100% legit and from Palitoy employees ?
I guess we are all hoping that the card backs might be prototypes like Martin's Red Shadow (" the front black straps don't stay black all the way to the trouser top as mine is because it was hand painted" - that bit got me excited, as I remember seeing one in my collection but turned out to be the Dufus! lol )

Re: vectis
You've done well, a really fair price for each figure when broken down, especially considering they are first card releases and that the Deep Sea has the normal elastic band rather than the usual red or blue circle one.

Did anyone else notice the 2 hunters?
