Space Force & Q Force
It seems mad that they never made a shadow navy type thing! Suppose you could put the "rubber ring" from the AF5 onto a shadow trak and that might suffice as a shad boat...rjgibb wrote:Never really took to Space Force and Q Force - without viable opposition in the Shadows - where's their marine force? and only a single Roboskull to do battle with in space, they never really captured our imagination.
But none of those bits of kit are a flying skull!!! Those teeth at the front for example must be a good 2-3 foot high - what would they be? Pressed steel? Rotational mouldings? The tooling alone would cost a fortune! I could imagine the other bits of kit (hyena, shadow trak, etc) not being too pricey too produce (well not too pricey for a maniac hell bent on world domination...)Quickfire wrote:Lay off the Roboskull, it's an awesome bit of VTOL kit!
We've discussed this all ages ago, it fits into the maniacal Eisenblut's insane design bureau protocols (Shadowtrak and Hyena anyone?) and of course his loony![]()

Nah I don't think they do, both would probably work better in z-force from a technical point of view - but then I probably wouldn't have bought them when I was youth (my z-force stuff was mostly presents - pocket money was for theQuickfire wrote:Meantime, what I want to know is what the fugg isfor, his poxy helo never fitted in to the original
Maybe I'll commit another heresy and extend that question to

Ah now this sounds more like it. A part organic creation sounds a more creditable bit of lunacy - some massive vat grown bone matter trained to grow in the form of a human skull.... a by-product of his cloning research that proved a cost effective means of producing a vehicle capable of space flight. The Baron wrote:It's more likely that the Roboskull was a giant sentient head grown in the Baron's laboratory.

Natürlich, the teeth optimise heat deflection dynamics during re-entries into the earth's atmosphere as well as forward protection when strafing. I reckon they're only a foot high and if you'll look closely you'll see they are obviously integrated ceramic-heat deflectors projecting from the solid titanium Roboskull body, itself manufactured in huge moulds Eisenblut used in his hidden metal works to mass-produce the Roboskull via a surfeit of extorted titanium supplies from Siberian mines. Not difficult to do all this when hundreds ofbarto wrote:

The Roboskull was more like the Mi-24 Hind, designed to look aggressive and inspire fear as much as to maximise other factors, everything was designed that way from a Soviet destroyer through to an assault chapter and BMP. El Baroni just nicked one of the artists and made him scribble away in some layer. Or maybe it was all a result of a bad-trip taken by the other

Having checked with various Professors of Deep Space Engineering in Göttingen, it also appears that the Tie fighter did not have rotating wings for VTOL capacity and spent all its life in deep space and didn't seem to ever be multi-role for ops in a planet's atmosphere. Although one of those Stuka-siren things fitted to the Tie fighters would have been good on the 'Skull said one (who spent too long on the Eastern Front).
On the other hand, it could just be a sentient head from the Kraken programme offshoot.
