Indeed a very sad loss. He leaves behind a great legacy for future generations and I bet had a wonderful and certainly very long and productive life.

Ray Harryhausen inspired me to start up an Undead army for WarHammer as the original plastic skeletons were inspired by his work on Jason and the Argonauts.
